The reality is that the best of intentions cannot compete with another funeral today after another sudden death in the community and then my mother in the hospital as well after having a heart attack. It’s been a week of hearts breaking – literally and figuratively. My attention to that reality has meant letting go of my expectations that I will do everything well….or in a timely manner. Today, the best I can offer is a prayer for all the grieving and all the healing. Resurrection requires both.
